Cricket Classics: Waqar swings it Pakistan's way

It was a sight Pakistan cricket fans were used to in the 90s, so much so that they took it for granted when their team defended totals. Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis, on their best days, needed just a few runs to play with and perhaps that is one reason why collapses by Pakistan during that era were not a cause for concern and masked the batting failures of the side.
Here, Waqar Younis produces another one of those moments against a formidable South African batting line up that seemed to cruising towards the target of 209 in the 1st match of the Total International Series at Durban in 1993. The result, a sensational collapse by Kepler Wessels’ team that fell short of their target by 10 runs after a century opening stand.
